Ah, the new year. A time to forget the past, to look forward, to make all things new again. As a number of other bloggers are doing, we have some resolutions here at Sear & Hammer - resolutions to help piss off the loony left while simultaneously protecting freedom.
- Buy an assault weapon... or two... or three ... or...
- Buy a thousand rounds of FMJ "military" ammunition for each assault rifle.
- Buy a semi-automatic, concealable, inexpensive handgun (also known by the racist term "Saturday night special").
- Write at least one blog entry a day that exposes the importance of protecting our civil rights and self defense in particular.
- Post at least one comment a day on a fellow gun-friendly blog site.
- Post one pro-gun comment a day on a loony-left anti-gun blog site.
- Take at least one non-gun-owning friend to the shooting range and teach her/him how to put every round in the ten ring.
- Vote only for those politicians who support freedom rather than a nanny state. Even if that means I have to vote for a party that will never win.
- Ensure a child knows how to fire a gun and properly follow the rules of safe gun handling.
- Expose idiocy wherever it may appear - even if it's politically incorrect.

Excellent goals, should be posted in every workplace government office...but something similar cost me a day on the street. Oh well, we can dream.
